A small bowl for what comes before dinner on Hvar: a handful of olives, a little oil for dipping bread. Inside, slender branches with dark green olive leaves wind across the cream glaze, a few tiny green olives sit between them, and up one side climbs a bold stroke of bright blue, like catching sight of the sea between the trees. It fits in the palm of your hand and pairs naturally with my Olive oil bottle.

I make it from stoneware on the potter's wheel and decorate it in the sgraffito technique: the motif appears as I scrape away the coloured clay. Finally I glaze it with a clear, food-safe glaze, so it is ready for every day.

FAQ

Are all pieces dishwasher safe?

Yes, they are. Use the eco programme at lower temperatures. I still recommend hand washing now and then, to give your favourite piece some extra care.

Are all pieces microwave safe?

I don't recommend it.

Shipping within Croatia is 5 €; to the EU (except Cyprus and Malta) 11–38 € depending on the country, shown at checkout. Orders usually ship within 1–4 business days. Are your ceramics durable?

Yes. They are made from high-quality stoneware clay and fired at 1230 °C, which makes them hard and durable.
