Hvar is known as the island of lavender: in early summer the fields above the old villages take on beautiful shades of purple, and the air smells of lavender. On this bottle, slender lavender stalks rise from the base, with green stems and soft blue-violet flowers carved into the cream clay, while the upper part of the bottle stays light and calm. A gentle, fresh choice for the olive oil on your table, and a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves Hvar. Browse all my olive oil bottles.

I make the bottle from stoneware on the potter's wheel and carve the lavender by hand in the sgraffito technique, line by line through the clay, and then apply colour to the carved areas. Finally I glaze it with a clear, food-safe glaze.

FAQ

Are all pieces dishwasher safe?

Yes, they are. Use the eco programme at lower temperatures. I still recommend hand washing now and then, to give your favourite piece some extra care.

Are all pieces microwave safe?

I don't recommend it.

Shipping within Croatia is 5 €; to the EU (except Cyprus and Malta) 11–38 € depending on the country, shown at checkout. Orders usually ship within 1–4 business days. Are your ceramics durable?

Yes. They are made from high-quality stoneware clay and fired at 1230 °C, which makes them hard and durable.
