The caper is one of the hardiest plants on the Dalmatian coast: it takes root in a stone wall where almost nothing else grows. On this plate, long caper branches hang down from the rim like a plant spilling over a wall, with round leaves in darker and lighter green and one small pink flower, while the rest of the plate stays open and cream, for your food. The Capers bowl goes with it for a matching table.

I make every plate from sturdy stoneware on the potter's wheel and decorate it by hand in the sgraffito technique: I scrape away the coloured clay and the drawing appears. Finally I glaze it with a clear, food-safe glaze and fire it at a high temperature.

FAQ

Are all pieces dishwasher safe?

Yes, they are. Use the eco programme at lower temperatures. I still recommend hand washing now and then, to give your favourite piece some extra care.

Are all pieces microwave safe?

I don't recommend it.

Shipping within Croatia is 5 €; to the EU (except Cyprus and Malta) 11–38 € depending on the country, shown at checkout. Orders usually ship within 1–4 business days. Are your ceramics durable?

Yes. They are made from high-quality stoneware clay and fired at 1230 °C, which makes them hard and durable.
