Hvar's pine forests run all the way down to the sea, and their scent is the first thing you notice on the island in summer. On this bottle, fine turquoise pine branches spread across the cream upper part and fade out around the middle of the bottle, like a canopy seen from below: the needles are thin coloured lines on a light background. Of my two pine bottles this is the lighter, airier one; its sister, the Green Pine oil bottle, does the same pattern in reverse: a coloured background with pale needles. A calm, fresh bottle for your everyday olive oil.

I make it from stoneware on the potter's wheel and carve every branch by hand in the sgraffito technique: I scrape away the coloured clay and the motif appears. Finally I cover it with a clear, food-safe glaze.

FAQ

Are all pieces dishwasher safe?

Yes, they are. Use the eco programme at lower temperatures. I still recommend hand washing now and then, to give your favourite piece some extra care.

Are all pieces microwave safe?

I don't recommend it.

Shipping within Croatia is 5 €; to the EU (except Cyprus and Malta) 11–38 € depending on the country, shown at checkout. Orders usually ship within 1–4 business days. Are your ceramics durable?

Yes. They are made from high-quality stoneware clay and fired at 1230 °C, which makes them hard and durable.
