Why a Non-Drip Olive Oil Bottle Matters

Besides a beautiful design, the most important thing in every olive oil bottle is that the oil pours smoothly and without dripping.
There’s nothing more frustrating than oil running down the side of the bottle while cooking or serving.

That’s why I wanted to create a handmade ceramic olive oil bottle that is not only elegant, but also highly functional.

My First Attempts at Designing a Ceramic Oil Bottle

When I first started making oil bottles, I designed a small spout at the neck.
But in practice, that solution didn’t work well:

• The rim was too thick and rounded

• Oil would drip down the side of the bottle

• Controlling the amount of oil was difficult

It became clear that the bottle needed a more functional design for everyday use in the kitchen.

The Current Design: A Perfect Balance of Function and Aesthetics

Today, the design has completely evolved.
The new non-drip oil bottle shape allows the oil to flow evenly and smoothly from all sides.

Thanks to the rim that is slightly curved outward, any excess oil naturally flows back into the bottle.
This keeps the bottle clean, ensures controlled pouring, and makes using it a pleasure.
